[Tony's Creation]Terikayi Salmon cubes with sesame seeds



[Prep: 40 minutes | Cook: 15 minutes| Serve: 4 | Level: Easy] 

.: Ingredients :.
1- Boneless, Skinless salmon fillet, 650g
2- Black sesame seed, 2 tbsp
3-
White sesame seed, 2 tbsp

.: Seasoning :.
1- 2 tbsp salted cooking sake
2- 2tbsp sugar
3-
4 tbsp Japanese soy sauce
4- 2 tbsp Mirin
5- (1/2 tsp of black pepper flake
* or use 3 tbsp of Teriyaki sauce from supermarket

.: Directions :.

Step 1:
 
Simmer the sauce in a pan for 5-10 minutes over medium low heat or until the quantity of the sauce reduce in half and thick.  Cool the sauce down.  Dice the salmon into 5 x 5 cm large.  In a dish, mix the salmon and cooled sauce together.  Marinade it for 30 minutes or even overnight
(.: Note :. The sauce taste much better after simmered.  I recommend everyone to do this step before adding it to the salmon)


Step 2:
 
In a dish, mix well the black and white sesame seeds.  Add in the salmon cubes and coast it with the sesame seeds.  Put the salmon on a baking tray wrapped with an aluminum foil.  Grill it in an preheated oven for 10 minutes with 190C or 375F for 10 minutes.  Turn off the oven.  Let the salmon continue to cook in the oven for another 5 minutes.  Dish it up and serve it hot.

(.: Note :. If you don't want a pink center in the salmon, you can cook 10 minutes after turn off the oven.)
